Cycling Karura Forest’s Trails, Waterfalls, and Historic Caves
Karura Forest covers over 1,000 hectares on Nairobi’s northern edge and is managed by the Kenya Forest Service together with the Friends of Karura Forest. Its network of well-maintained trails makes it one of the few places where visitors can cycle through indigenous forest, past a waterfall, and through caves once used as a hideout during the Mau Mau uprising, all within the city limits.
