About

Discover the Science and Community Efforts Behind Amboseli’s Giant Herds

Amboseli is globally famous for hosting some of the most studied elephant populations on earth, flourishing under the shadow of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. This tour brings you beyond regular game viewing, introducing you to the long-term monitoring projects, human-wildlife conflict mitigation strategies, and anti-poaching initiatives operating right on the borders of the park.

During the educational lecture, local conservationists and field researchers break down complex topics such as elephant communication, family gene pool structures, and the pathways they walk across the eco-corridors. You will explore how local Maasai communities cooperate alongside field rangers to ensure these safe migratory routes are preserved.

Whether you wish to combine this deep educational experience with a classic game drive across the Amboseli swamps or visit a traditional homestead, this flexible excursion offers an impactful connection to Kenya’s natural heritage.

I just completed a 22-day trip through Madagascar, including Morondaba, Tsingy, Belo Sur, Ifaty, Ranohira, Ranomafana, and the Pangalanes Channel, among other places. The overall experience was good, except for a minor initial disagreement regarding the agreed-upon price and some unexpected hotel changes. Communication with them is always quick and easy, and the payment method is secure. A special mention goes to our driver and guide, Antsa, a true gem. Besides being an excellent driver, he was always kind, friendly, helpful, and committed to making everything easier.

The tour was interesting, and the driver was good. However, we feel the travel agency should have informed us in advance about the guides who wait at the park entrances and accompany tourists to geysers and waterfalls. The booking confirmation made no mention of this at all; it only stated that park entrance fees, food, and drinks were not included. When we have no idea how much the guide’s services will cost, we don't know how much cash to bring, since credit cards aren't accepted in places like that.
